Bachelor's Program in Geomatics
Geomatics is the scientific name given to the sciences and technologies related to urban data in its digital form, including urban surveys and spatial information systems. It also includes urban information collection, processing, analysis, presentation, map formation, measurement and management of urban data. This major is a natural extension of the town planning major. Geomatics specialization includes various techniques for urban-related disciplines such as spatial planning, environmental architecture, architecture, engineering, land and property development, environmental planning and others. Thus, it is essential for all sciences related to urbanism and location, which depend on urban data such as surveying, remote sensing, aerial maps, spatial information systems and GPS systems.

Vision:
Obtaining leadership in the Middle East and Africa by qualifying competent graduates in the field of geomatics, in addition to forming a specialized scientific base to carry out research related to geomatics and localizing its technology and employing it to address urban issues at various local, regional, national and international levels. The department also looks forward to contributing to providing the necessary expertise to deal with complex urban data and directing it towards supporting the decision-making process in the Kingdom and in the Middle East to support existing and emerging urban observatories.
the message :
Excellence in the formation of competent graduates in control of geomatics techniques, by supporting the spirit of entrepreneurship and spreading the traditions of quality.
The department's development plan is based on the following axes::
Academic advancement
Excellence in scientific research
Partnership with local and global institutions
Optimal investment of resources in community service.
