Abstract : International information society is changing to knowledge society. High quality standards of IT infrastructure should be available to build the knowledge society. The knowledge park projects can help in building the needed infrastructure. The United Nations encourages developing countries to build knowledge parks to integrate science with industry to develop quality of life standards of the local societies. Faculty of Environmental Design (FED), in King Abdulaziz University (KAU)- Saudi Arabia started an Architectural Competition among its staff members to design the knowledge park of KAU. This paper is focusing on four design alternatives produced by a team work consisted of six staff members of Urban Unit 4 of FED in KAU. The team work has won the third position in the competition. The alternatives differ in form but agree on applying specific architectural and urban design concepts.
